hi everyone. this post is for all my students, especially 6C/05, 6A/07 and 6D/08. i hope no one minds me using this platform to address everyone; and i hope this note reaches all of you somehow.
thanks for making today (29/8/08) a wonderful day. it is always great to see the ones who have flown the coop come back and visit. it means a lot to me that you made the effort to come back. i am sorry we didn't have too much time together. the arrangement really isn't ideal. for those who couldn't make it back today, please know that i missed you. anyway, i am so happy that most of you are doing so well. please continue to work hard and make things happen. for those who are not doing so well, please know that my good wishes are always with you and i hope you put in the required effort. nothing would make me happier than see you guys succeed.

6C/07, you guys really shouldn't have spent so much money on the vouchers and the cake. you really didn't have to. not to sound cliched, i am more than happy to see you guys turn up in school. please do not spend so much money next time.
i am really happy to see you guys get re-acquainted and reminisce about the past. i felt really nostalgic today too. i am so happy that you are keeping your old friendships. please continue. that said, it also saddens me that some of you are no longer on talking terms for one reason or another. i don't know what has transpired, but i believe it has been a stroke of serendipity / fortuitous arrangement by the universe that brought us together and it would be a real pity not to cherish that friendship. i hope that you would all bury whatever hatchets you have and clear up misunderstandings. life is too short; let's not become strangers.
thanks again for a great teachers' day. if you can, pass the message around for all (especially 6D/08) to read this note. i feel very lucky to have taught you all. thanks for enriching my life.
